The Music

Dwight
The long-awaited followup to Umpteen is here. Dwight, short for "da white boy" was named for the affectionate moniker given to Ross during his days with legendary Memphis bassist Duck Dunn's band. More info to come. Click here for lyrics. Click here to order.

UmpteenUmpteen
One of the greatest albums you probably don't own. It's one of those rare recordings that not only gets better with each listen but also never wears out. Creative lyrics, clever arrangements and chording, power-packed rhythm and singalong choruses abound. This 1997 effort had a little help from Brad Jones, and two tunes, "Dig Down Deep" and "Miss July," are featured on his 1995 CD "Gilt Flake." Order "Umpteen" now from the good people at Djangos.com.

Demos for the Double Noughts
These four tracks represent some of Ross's latest demos and were available at mp3.com until it went bust. So now they're here:

Mr. Anti-Sunshine (.mpga file)
Beautiful Ghost (.mpga file)
Hard Times for the Revolution (.mp3)
Love n' Madness (.mp3)

Human RadioHuman Radio
Ross's band from the late 80's/early 90's. Another masterpiece record that improves with repeated listening. Some may find the 1990 production values a bit dated, but the songs stand up regardless of presentation. See if the fine folks at Gemm can track you down a copy.

Human Radio II
Most people don't know that the band made a second record that was never released. Our friend Mark was kind enough to make some mp3's for us. He even took a stab at transcribing the lyrics. He also gave us the "Me and Elvis" video on mpeg.

Other Things
Here are some random bits:

Gone - Live bootleg of Ross at The South End, May 1998.
Evil Woman by ELO, as performed by Ross on NotLame's Lynne Me Your Ears tribute CD.
Love Dungeon by Human Radio, a live recording from a Memphis music compilation CD.
Me and Elvis - a bouncy, oompah countryish version.
Bouncing Off the Satellites - Unreleased track.
